Referral relationships
Set up the compliant agreement with another firm so you can refer clients and be paid a fee.
A relationship is the compliant agreement between your firm and another regulated firm that lets you refer clients and be paid a fee. Open Relationships from the top navigation.
Creating a relationship
Click New relationship and work through four steps:
- Counterparty — find the firm on Companies House, or invite one that isn't on Mutuvo yet by email. Linking to an existing Mutuvo firm reuses their record; otherwise a placeholder firm is created.
- Verification — we automatically run Know-Your-Business (KYB) checks on the counterparty via Certivus. This usually completes in under a minute; you can continue while it runs.
- Fee terms — choose how the introducer is paid when a referral converts:
- Flat fee — a fixed amount per referral.
- Percentage — a percentage of the won value.
- Tiered — different percentages above value thresholds. Set the payment terms (days) too.
- Review and send — send the introducer agreement to the counterparty for signature. Only Owners, Partners and MLCOs can create relationships.
After sending
The relationship moves to Awaiting signature. Once both parties sign, it becomes Active and you can start referring clients. The relationship detail page updates in real time — you don't need to refresh.
